Japanese 4 in 1 as a weave is made with (what we call) terminated cells (3 ring units of 2 in 1 chain). Much like Jelly cubes can be finished or unfinished, so can every other form that a weave can be done in (chains, bands, sheets). It's our opinion that weaves themselves are always unfinished (they can seamlessly connect to themselves). It is only the forms that weaves can take that can be finished. There's a little more to it than that, but I don't want to bore you :D

In the case of Jelly Cubes, what we call asymmetrical is the unfinished version while symmetrical is finished.
