IMO, "best way" would be to make a 4x4 patch (32 rings) with the ring size of your choice, measure, and extrapolate from there. 
Assuming by 18g, you mean SWG, then this patch uses the same WD, although the ID might be a bit higher than the rings you’ve mentioned, as these have an AR of 5.8.
That said, hopefully this picture helps out. Sorry the tape measure is gross looking, I just grabbed the closest one I had.
