This is a comparison of Callisto 4 in 1 with my inventions, Fáfnir's Last Stand & Sigurð's Armour, which are 6 in 1 progressions & variants of Callisto 4 in 1. My inventions are named after the characters in the story about Fáfnir the dragon & the hero Sigurð/Siegfried in Norse & Germanic mythology.
A pattern/weave I invented & call Sigurð's Armour (A.K.A. Callisto 6 in 1 Variant). Nearly identical to Fáfnir's Last Stand, but with different positioning of the large & small rings in the columns with parallel rings. Uses the same ring sizes as F.L.S.; named aft. Fáfnir's slayer, Sigurð/Sigfried.
A pattern/weave I invented & call Fáfnir's Last Stand (A.K.A. Callisto 6 in 1). Every 2nd column of large rings go through 3 rows of 2 in 1 chains made by the small rings. 18g wire; L. rings= 12mm O.D., S. rings= 8mm O.D.; named aft. the dragon Fáfnir from Norse & Germanic mythology.
This is the sheet form of the Callisto chain. When comparing with related patterns/weaves, I call it Callisto 4 in 1. Every 2nd column of large rings go through 2 rows of 2 in 1 chains made by the small rings. 18g wire; L. rings= 8mm O.D., S. rings= 6mm O.D.
