Dove into this.

This is hard for me to describe geometrically.

Why?
This is a curved segment of a 3-dimensional concept. I don't know if Kirk Nelson of Brilliant twisted skulls is active on here, but here goes.

EJPL is a 5-1 weave for two thirds of the rings; that is rings at position "120" and postion "240". The rings at the position 360 - it's a 4-1 weave. This is a first hint.
Applying the same principle to all rings, there should be a third extension. However, off the middle chain, you can build in two directions, and with EJPL you build in both directions. This means that an extension along the third axis is impossible at the same pattern.
While investigating this pattern; I noticed some things:

The pattern seeks "itself", just like "four quarters persian". If you connect it, it feels "right at home".
This weave will lend itself to further experimentation.
I wish I was good enough to be fast at rendering - because this is hard enough as it is.
Very cool concept. I will have to try to wrap my head around this to make a more symetric/periodic version when it's not 2 am.
