Hi,

The Maille Artisans website had the ability to search weaves by AR. Does this website have that capability? If not, why not? Is this likely to change?

We do have that capability, but it is implemented completely differently from MAIL. In the Maillepedia we have the ability to "filter" based on different criteria.

The filter is available on any Maillepedia Index or Category page simply by clicking "Filters". Filtering on the index page will filter all entries in the Maillepedia. Filtering on a category page will filter all entries in that category ONLY.

After clicking on "Filters", the filter window will open giving you multiple options to filter by, one of those criteria is "Commonly Used AR(s)".

AR's must be entered in a "*.*" format. Wildcards are acceptable. For example:

• 4 - Would return no results
• 4.0 - Would return results of all weaves with a value of 4.0 listed in the "Commonly Used AR(s)" field.
• 4.* - Would return results of all weaves with a value of 4.0 - 4.9 listed in the "Commonly Used AR(s)" field.

Filtering as in the example would also show you weaves that may have more than one ring size needed for the weave:



If you only wanted to see weaves that use a single ring size, you would check off the "Yes" box underneath "Single Ring Size". That would further filter for weaves that are listed as Single Ring Size.

There are many more criteria that you can currently filter by and those criteria are currently a work in progress. Just remember that the criteria are cumulatively more restrictive. For example, if you checked "European" and "Persian" you would only see results that are classified as BOTH "European" AND "Persian".
