I would like to know how you make sure that you are doing a right and left mobius?
simply flip the rings to the same side: imagine two connected rings, you hold one ring, then decide, if you flip the other ring up or down. Hold both rings together as if it was one ring, then insert the next ring and flip it the same direction. If you flip the third ring to the other ("wrong") side, it looks like the interconnecting (vertical) rings of this variant.
If you do this the first time, maybe start with a flower-chain.
