Patterns for different-shaped capture stones

I have some gorgeous semi-precious stones arriving. Does anyone know where I can find patterns for capture pendants that would work with different shapes?

I have round, oval, emerald, and pear-shaped.

I haven't had a chance to try it yet but I think you might be able to use Half Persian 3-in-1 using the wedged portion to hold the stones. You may need to add additional rings to extend the hold for it.

Otherwise I would check look through the images here or one of the chainmaille sub-reddits (r/maille or r/chainmailartisans) for images of other captured stones and taking inspiration from there.

Emerald cuts can be captured using a rhombus-symmetry capture design that uses the same base as a square-symmetry capture design for a round stone. By using a central ring on the bottom that the stone cannot fit through when properly seated, you can use smaller rings to trap the stone. I've had success using a specific design to capture round, oval, and emerald cuts stones. I'll upload a pic at some point. Unfortunately this particular design is more decorative in itself and shows off much less of the stone, especially the smaller the stone is.

Oval and emerald cuts are also possible by using rotational symmetry if you modify the size of rings at regular intervals around the circle. For example, if you had 4-fold symmetry, you can adapt an existing round cut capture to use smaller rings at 0° and 180° and larger rings at 90° and 270°
