Finally closed the account on the project I started in January last year. Very pleased overall with how it came out, it fits well, and the rings have an amazing glitter factor, particularly in the sun. Clean closures on these rings was definitely challenging, though not as tough as I initially feared. I'm sure there is by default a higher snag risk on fabric than with machine-made rings, but these rings weren't for sale anywhere, so I had to take that risk to see this project through. It definitely feels more textured than regular wire, and also sounds different when it moves.

Basic stats: "gold" rings are 19SWG brass and stainless steel from The Ring Lord, twisted together to form the base wire, then wound on a 1/4" mandrel. There is quite a lot of springback with this twisted stuff, so the ID ends up being about .280", with an approximate wire diameter of about .080". "Silver" rings are the same but just twisted stainless.

Weave is basic Euro 4-in-1, with several contractions on the bottoms of the sleeves. Stainless-only rings were added to cuffs/hems/collar as an accent.

By weight, it should total just over 17,300 rings, and took about 290 hours over the past year or so. Conveniently, these rings are about 1lb/1000.
