Orbital connection units are made up of progressing numbers of base 2 cells where one ring in each pair is orbitally connected to an adjacent pair. Of particular note is that Orbital connection units introduce a new connection type into the mailler lexicon, the orbital connection.
An orbital connection is one where the connection is not through a ring, but around the connection point between 2 rings or the midpoint of 3 rings.
Orbital connection units are not considered an orbital modification as the orbital connection rings intersect with other rings.
