Rings used are saw-cut bronze 16SWG 1/4" [AR~4.0] from TheRingLord.

I noticed while weaving that BTW tends to spiral in in the direction of the "under" rings, and my theory is that the spiral bias would be eliminated by alternating the over-under pattern, making a nice "flat" chain.
