Edwardian/botanical pendant design?

Help me out here gang.

A very dear friend of mine began transition recently, and I really want to make her a pendant for her birthday, as she doesn't have much jewellery, but I'm struggling to find design inspiration. Does anyone have any suggestions?

She wears pendants rather than full necklaces, and her style is very much Edwardian/Arts and Crafts and/or woodland-y vibes. Think Bernadette Banner, if any of you are sewists.

I'm not familiar with many non-standard weaves, so any pointers would be very welcome!

Sorry for the late reply. Out of the chain weaves I've tried (a few), I'd recommend Dark Elf. For me, this chain has a vine-ish vibe. It's an alternating weave, but it should play well with pendants because it doesn't have a whole lot of protrusions. On top of that, you can make it fairly thin. It is also a pretty quick chain to make, in my opinion. Elf weaves are notoriously difficult to start, but I didn't have that issue with this one. Your mileage may vary. You may like to look at Brejao roses, but that's more of a sheet weave. A Moorish rose ball is an option as a pendant, but it's gonna be fairly large. For "woodsy" chains, I'd definitely suggest looking into weaves that alternate from one side to another, or that twist or zigzag. The Persian family has no shortage of these, but there are a lot of them, and you might get stuck in the weeds with choice. Best of luck!

Thanks Alton! I went with a Celtic unit in the end, and added a gem I found in my stash and a tiny mobius knot to balance it. It seemed to go down well! I’ve never tried an elf weave - I will push it up the list…
