There has got to be a better name than what I have been calling this. It is Hoodoo Hex & Hoodoo combined to create this 3d ball. This one is currently stuffed with a wool felted ball. This is a truncated icosahedron. Stainless steel 16 gauge 3/16th mandrel rings. With an AR of 3.

I would say it's different tessellation of what we have listed as Hoodoo Web, but would still be (at least by me) considered a Hoodoo web

If it's all made of 6's and 5's as shown in your pictures, I'm assuming two 6's (on opposite sides) and a "circumference" of twelve 5's where the points alternate /\\/? I'm hoping that makes sense.

If so, it's the 5's that are contracting the web making it into a "globe", unlike the sheet linked which stays flat as it's all 6's (so to speak) :D

Think soccer ball. All the black spots are pentagons and all the white spots are hexagons for 12 pentagons and 20 hexagons. Yes a sheet of this with all hexagons would result in a flat sheet. Just like moorish rose. I have done these balls with moorish rose as well. So fun
