I always love seeing posts like these and since I am new to the group, lets see what people here have to say. What project took you the longest to complete? Here is my inlay and it took around 40 hours to complete.

Wow, Daniel, that is epic! I have yet to get into the inlay arena though I will be making a pair of bracelets with inlays for a dear friend and his partner who will be married this October. Other than that, I have to say the longest project to date was my first dance with Dragonscale....an 8-hour slow dance!

My TMNT inlay is currently my longest... not done with it yet... about 95% done and it has been about 380 hours.

The attached pic is of the inlay at 60% done

My longest project so far has only taken 5-6 hours. It's this Japanese Diamond Bracelet in bronze. It was only my second or third time doing Japanese weaves, and doubling those bronze rings took some time and patience! Not to mention pre-opening/closing all the tiny rings.

I'd love to tackled an inlay someday, but my largest project so far is learning to make a dragonscale bracelet.

So far all I've done are some basic bracelets and earrings. I'm hoping to do an inlay of the Ukranian coat of arms to hang up in my house.,,,that'll probably take some time to do....

My largest project so far has probably been a bikini top for my wife---maybe 4-5000 rings total(?) I'm really unsure of how many rings it has. Sorry, no pics---I haven't had opportunity to get any when she's been wearing it--and she's highly critical of her own bod--though I assure you, she looked fab! That, or my riding vest--which for some reason I don't think I've ever gotten photos of either...Most of my work is much smaller scale though...

My longest so far is the Dragon Hyde necklace. (Pics in the Media gallery.) It took roughly 6 months, from conception to finishing, mainly because of waiting on materials. It was only my second attempt with scales and I still messed up a few times. Also attaching the dragonscale to the central piece was a pain in the neck.

I do plan on doing a few inlays, but my biggest piece is still on the drawing board. I plan on eventually making my own scale and chainmaille version on Elsa's ice dress. I have planned how to go about making it, however the material cost is going to be so blasted high that I can't afford it at the moment.

Ohhh, I love this one thread! I love seening all the inlays, the epicness that is coming from everywhere, but I have to show y'all something that is in the neighbourhood of 320 hours long... Yes, I said three hundred and twenty hours... http://imgur.com/a/2yMid

I plan on doing a lot more (there are three or four not listed there yet.

Now, more seriously, I did help TRL with their curtain project earlier this year. Even got a tour of the Toronto shipping facility. That was around 100 hours and 40K rings.

Either my belt or my purse. I work on big projects in between other stuff so it's hard to really know.

I made a smallish purse that took me a long few weeks off and on. I just had a hard time making myself do it!

I'm still working on a kinged Euro belt. I have to take breaks on it every few rows because I'm using 16g stainless steel rings, and the workout it gives me makes my fingers twitch! 2" wide, about 30" long now, but I want the end to be able to loop up and over the buckle so it can hang a few inches. Good thing I have a decent waist to hip ratio to hold it up when I finish it!

So far my largest piece is a shirt that comes in just over 12k rings.

I've yet to try armor so I think my most time consuming piece has to be a dice bag that was in-layed with a Celtic knot.

I recently complete an inlay piece for a friend of mine who owns a vape shop. It came in at about 1600-ish rings. He loves it.

Yeah, that piece is ridonkulous, Jen... saw you post that somewhere before...maybe you can somehow sell it as a "cloak of invulnerability"...
