Best tip - study tiling and tesselation. When you abstract the Moorish rose singleton to a hexagon, you can just pretend a pentagon is a hexagon using 5-ring möbi instead. When you tile using pentagons, you get a dodecahedron. If you want rounder, choose a fullerene (such as the traditional soccer ball) and just tile away!

Theoretically, you should be able to make Moorish rose cubes, using 4-ring möbi and the same technique as usual.
