Herringbone is a modification that can be made to Half Persian 4 in 1. In this modification, the HP 4 in 1 chain is manipulated against it's grain and then stabilized with the "herringbone" rings. Each herringbone ring only passes through 3 rings of the HP 4 in 1 chain, giving the chain a different appearance on the top and bottom.
