Question for any folks that do inlays. How do you go about designing them and calculating out the ring count so you know what to order?

Sorry, disregard. I saw this was asked in another location in thee forums.

Been asked to do a few inlays and always turn them down. Don't know rather to start doing them or not they look extremely difficult to do.

It really isnt difficult to do as much as it is time consuming. The hardest part is coming up with the image, the second hardest part is finishing the last half of it. When you use IGP it gives you a list of each row and how many of each color to do, EX 4 silver, 10 black, 3 red, 10 black, 4 silver. The weave is just E4-1 so basic in that way.

I've found after the first two or three rows it gets much easier and you are able to better keep track of where you are in your pattern.
